Ode to the ACC

I do not like the ACC.
I just do not like them, as you will see..

I do not want to play them here or there.
I do not want to play them anywhere.

I do not like that storied Coach K,
I do not like his arrogant way.

I do not like the teams they play.
I do not like the boasts they say.

I do not like the way they don't pass,
or the way that they have no class.

I find it funny to see that their #1 goal is always to beat Kentucky.
And no! I do not want to hear about Laettner! Jeez.
Give it a rest please oh please!!!

I do not like the ACC,nor all their publicity.
For Vitale and all the rest...
they will never believe this mediocre conference isn't the best.

In the fall they have FSU and they've been good this much is true but add up the records of them all...then ask yourself..
does the ACC even play football?
One team does not a conference make .
The ACC sucks for heavens sake!

I do not like the ACC, the reasons why are plain to see.
Their pretentious upper class snobbery cannot compare to
the tradition of the SEC.

Saturday mornings in the fall are what life is all about in the South. With our winning history this makes sense.....
We have passion and titles unlike that Anti Christ Conference..

I could go on forever with reasons why.
I could yell, scream and cry...
but in the end all I can say...
is I hope I helped you find your way.

To look for tradition, history and passion... For titles and bowl games and touchdown action..
Believe me when I tell you true..

You do not need the ACC.
I do not like them so you see.
The SEC is the only place for me.

As a Kentucky football fan though, can you really scoff at the ACC? Hate if this seems like trolling, but why all the hate? The ACC doesn't believe itself better than the SEC in football, and beyond UK, the SEC's not exactly a basketball powerhouse. So just confused about your point here, mostly.

-John, I think the hate grew out of basketball fans and transferred over to all sports. Like how if you dislike a team in one sport you probably won't be very fond of them in any other one either.

Exactly. Its supposed to be tongue in cheek anyhow, but yes, its like a rivalry. As a kid I was actually a FSU fan, and disliked the Gators immensely but in time grew to respect the traditions of the SEC as a whole. I still don't like the Gators, for the record.
